BLOODS & TRT

YOUR RESULTS CAME BACK 'NORMAL'. NOW WHAT?

'In range' isn't the same as 'optimal for a 52-year-old who lifts'. How to read the numbers without spiralling.

Reference ranges are wide on purpose. They're built to catch disease, not to tell you whether you'll feel good next Tuesday. So you can be technically normal and still feel rough.

Look at where you sit in the range, not just whether you're in it. Bottom of the range on testosterone or ferritin, with symptoms that match, is worth acting on. Middle of the range with no symptoms usually isn't.

Trends beat single readings. One test is a snapshot on a day you might have slept badly or trained the night before. Two or three tests over a year tell you a direction, which is far more useful.

And don't chase every marker at once. Pick the one or two that line up with how you actually feel, change one thing at a time, retest.

Bring the PDF to your weekly check-in. We'll go through it together and turn it into something you can do rather than something you worry about.

Before you buy anything off the back of a result, check the ingredient against the research. SuppIndex is the index I use for that.
